We traveled to Northern NB last weekend and it was amazing! Full of mini-mountains and colorful leaves. Absolutely gorgeous! I was a bit worried that I wouldn't do so well hiking up a mountain, but I didn't die and we didn't get lost or stuck up on the mountain over night. Yay for us!

mc_questionmark and I went on an early anniversary trip last weekend and it was just about perfect. It was my first time going to PEI since the bridge was built. I visited as a small child but I couldn't remember it at all. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ocean, animals, beaches, and fields everywhere. I LOVED it! :)

I meant to post these a while ago, woops! :) We went for a drive to Saint Andrews a couple of weeks ago and took a few pretty pics. We also went for a beautiful bike ride along the Nashwaak River.

Well folks, I'm back from my weekend away with the girls. I'm sure you missed me greatly. (jk) It was a wonderful weekend filled with lots mini adventures and of course, photos. The only down side, was that I smashed my knee into my friends coffee table while on the run for my camera. =) I knew my photo obsession would get me into trouble one of these days! It was pretty freakin'painful yesterday, but so far today it seems a bit better. I'm hopeful anyway.

Well, it's barely my birthday and I'm feeling ...odd. I tend to have weird emotional issues near my birthday and it has nothing to do with the common age problem that many have. I don't mind aging, that's fine. I think I just always want something completely awesome to happen and it usually doesn't. Someday I will get over this, I'm sure. I hope.

Other than that, everything has been busy busy busy! Work has lots of different things going on to keep me off of live journal and facebook. Boo to that! I went to a lovely wedding on Saturday. Congrats again mudheadpuddle and planetpla. It was a great wedding and a super fun party afterward. I don't think I've ever been to a wedding where the guests enjoyed it as much as the people directly involved in it. You two throw a spectacular party!

mc_questionmark and I went to saint Andrews on the weekend and I drove part of the way. It's been a while so I was kind of rusty but I think I did ok. Saint Andrews was gorgeous. We got a couple of pics that I will post when I have more time. We also went on a 2hr bike ride which was awesome! We biked through a part of town that I hadn't really explored before and it was really pretty. Of course my camera has a handy neck strap so I got pics of that too which I will also post later. :)

I think I will be heading to NS this weekend so I won't have much time to post or check my lj. I'm sure I will be way behind by next Monday especially since I'm already behind now. I'll catch up eventually and maybe I will even have something exciting to post when I get back. Anything is possible!

I recently realized that in the last year I've had a number of firsts. I decided to make a list of them. It makes me feel like I am progressing if even a little in this world. :) Life isn't just going in circles... at least not all the time.

Some of the things are big others might seem insignificant to you but, they all mean something to me.

This was one of the best weekends of my life. mc_questionmark and I went camping at Fundy National Park with some friends. It was absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and fun! I will overload you with photos sometime later this week. It will probably have to be done in a three part series like my Cayman posts were. I got a new camera on Friday just before we left and I went a little picture crazy. =) Nothing unusual there really! Anyway, some of the shots are just amazing. There was a huge forest, waterfalls galore, scampering little squirrels, lots of ocean, rocks and fun times. I'm sure you will enjoy them, so stay tuned...

I had my first real driving lesson in our new car. It's a standard and apparently, I'm an automatic. :) I didn't do so well. I'm pretty unsure of my driving ability and it makes me fairly cautious. I didn't really go fast enough to switch into 3rd gear. This means, I only practiced switching between 1st and 2nd. Maybe this weekend will be an improvement. Wish me luck!

On Saturday night, we went to the mini exhibition. It was... filled with carney's and flashing lights. :) I know mc_questionmark enjoyed himself. I didn't go on any rides because I was broke and because they kept choosing ones that were a tad to stomach flippy for my liking. I did however get a couple of pretty pics.

Well, mc_questionmark and I are now the owners of a 2003 VW Golf. I love it! We've been grinning since we drove off the car lot. =)


We've had the car for two and a half days... time for a road trip!

Ok, this should be my final entry about the Caymans. I'm sure you are all getting fairly sick of them by now. :) I still have to put up some of my favorite pictures though, so bare with me. Stingray city was a fun adventure for me so I have to post a bit about it.

I was waiting for mc_questionmark to post about our trip because he is a better writer than me and he's wittier. :) Unfortunately, he has decided to pick up where he left off before vacation.... he's rented Final Fantasy again. He will probably be in video game land for quite some time. Which means, you get me. I will do my best.

Well, I really am not sure where to start. We did so many things while we were there. It was amazing! I will try to keep things in order as much as I can.

For anyone who happens to read my journal, I'm off to the Caymans in a few hours. I'm very excited and very tired. I'm afraid mc_questionmark's last shift really tuckered me out. I'm hoping that my five hour nap after work will revive me a bit. I want to be full of energy for exploring new places.

I'm sure I will have lots of pictures to share when I come back. Try not to be too exciting in LJ land while I'm away. I would hate to miss anything important. :)

On Friday night we went over to f_hilo's place. mudheadpuddle and planetpla made some delicious chili, we also had baked potatoes (yum) and some orange type of cake for dessert. After the food we learned how to play Texas hold em, without actual money of course. It was a good time, a definite learning experience. :) I don't think I will ever play for money. I did ok, but I wouldn't be willing to risk it.

Other than that, we had a nice family dinner on Saturday. One of my brothers and his wife couldn't make it which was unfortunate, but we still had a good turn out. It's good to take time to spend with family. I'm trying not to take them for granted as much as I used to. I thought my Grandmother was such a feisty lady and would live quite some time. She died on New years day this year after having only been in the hospital less than a week. You just never know what will happen. Anyway, I'm trying to make the most of the time I have with them. It was a nice weekend. I hope yours was too.

This was my favorite day in March by far. It was a beautiful crisp and clear day. The perfect day for a drive. mc_questionmark and I went for a nice early afternoon drive today. I let him choose the direction we would take because he generally takes us on fun driving adventures. He did not disappoint! We aren't exactly sure where we ended up, we think it was near French Lake. We went on a dirt/mud road that had some lovely potholes and ended up near a river. Along this dirt road, we drove by what appeared to be a 'controlled' fire. We aren't sure it was controlled because as far as we could tell, no one else was around. I hope I don't hear that it actually destroyed the area as it was a very beautiful area. Also, we ended up having to ask directions on how to get home. :)

After that, we relaxed for a bit. In the evening we picked up planetpla and mudheadpuddle and headed over to an Emerge (artist collective) potluck. They were having it to welcome in some new members. It was lots of fun and there was way too much food. It was great! The people who hosted it have two adorable dogs and an awesome house that has lots of character. Lets see if I can remember all of the food that was brought for the potluck. There was homemade pizza, sushi, artichoke and spinach dip, chicken fried rice, nacho dip and nachos, pineapple, some sort of blueberry pie/cake, chili, pita bread, and some tasty bread. I don't think I left anything out, but I might have. As usual, there were lots of laughs and funny discussions. It was a lovely day. :) The only down side is that mc_questionmark had to go to work after the potluck. So now it's just me and the kitties. Oh well, I'm sure they will keep me entertained tonight.

St Patrick's Day, a day where people pretend to be Irish. :P mc_questionmark, planetpla, mudheadpuddle, f_hilo and I went to a party and showed our Irish spirit! There was lots of drinking (not on my end), lots of yummy food, laughs and an adorable little dog. Unfortunately, mc_questionmark and I had to leave early because he had to work. Luckily, I had already taken lots of photos to share with you.
